Risk, fear, harm: immigrant women's perceptions of the "policing solution" to woman abuse
Article Abstract:
This article discusses the problems marginalized women, due to socio-economic conditions, face when dealing with abuse. The author maintains these women, often immigrants, fear reporting violence against them due to the increased harm they face afterwards, such as suffering from increased social isolation.

Penal harm medicine: state tort remedies for delaying and denying health care to prisoners
Article Abstract:
Issues regarding the conflict between the penal harm movement to which most correctional personnel belong and the healing mission of correctional medical employees are described. Lawsuits filed by prisoners under the state tort laws show that frequent attempts by the former to coopt the latter.

Governing aboriginal justice in Canada: constructing responsible individuals and communities through 'tradition.'
Article Abstract:
Issues concerning the aboriginal restorative justice programs in Canada are discussed. Applying these programs to the non-aboriginal community involves grafting "traditional" principles onto non-traditional forms of social organizations. Various problems inherent in this approach are discussed.
