Small firms, large problems?
Article Abstract:
The UK's 3.7 million small businesses generally accept the need for health and safety regulations, but require more clear guidance on compliance. Small business owners often receive misinformation and advertising regarding how to meet statutory requirements. Small businesses often fear compliance costs, contact by the Health and Safety Executive, and inspections. Additional staff training in health and safety requirements is recommended for small firms.

Article Abstract:
Personal computers can be used to perform risk assessment for occupational health and safety management in the United Kingdom. Confusion could result from differing meanings of 'risk assessment software,' or products predating MHSW regulations.
