Responses to legislative changes: corporate whistleblowing policies
Article Abstract:
Fortune 1000 firms continue to do business as usual and implement the open door policy despite the passage of whistleblower statutes. Th implementation of the statutes by the government is aimed at encouraging companies to adopt more specific policies. However, the companies surveyed did not show enhanced internal channels for reporting wrongdoing. Moreover, th results show that whistleblowers still prefer suits using tort law over those using state statutes, which are too restrictive.

Cross-cultural ethics and the child labor problem
Article Abstract:
Child labor is not only morally repulsive but also economically inefficient and harmful, in both the short and long run, to workers, countries and the global economy. The argument is developed using the classical economic theories of Adam Smith and more recent works of human capital theorists. An examination of the problem within its contemporary global context argues for a universalist approach to human rights that would protect children from productive labor.
