The UN General Assembly adopted the International Convention for the Suppression of Terrorist Bombings on Dec 15, 1997. The Convention improves the international response to terrorism. Article Abstract:
The French Council of State dismissed a petition by Stanislav Aquarone to exempt his UN retirement pension from French income taxes. The Council ruled the Statute of the International Court of Justice, Article 32, paragraph 8, did not entitle Aquarone to the exemption. Aquarone had argued previous interpretations of the statute and customary international law entitled him to the exemption.
