The age of the paperless office may finally be approaching
Article Abstract:
The paperless office has been advocated by hardware and software vendors for years as the wave of the future, and advances in hardware, software and communications systems may soon make this forecast a reality for even small offices. Faster computers can handle memory-intensive graphics files, and scanners have become affordable. Operating system software has become better suited to file storage activities. Optical character recognition software and scanning software is available to convert paper documents to electronic form.

Many products which can increase ergonomic utility are available, including keyboards and monitors. Software is available which allows users to customize size, color, and resolution.
