Comparing corporate managers' personal values over three decades, 1967 - 1995
Article Abstract:
A survey of personal value systems (PVS) of US corporate managers from 1967 to 1995 reveals that no change occurred during the nearly three decades that passed. The study, using the same method established by George W. England in 1967, revealed that corporate leaders continue to uphold the same pragmatic business values. The results of the study, which did not come as a surprise, indicate that the US managers' PVS will continue to dictate American economic policy for a long time to come.
