Journalists meet with official interference over reporting
Article Abstract:
The Secret Service and a New Jersey police officer challenged the rights of a student journalist and a news photographer, respectively. A columnist for the University of California Daily Californian made a disparaging remark about Chelsea Clinton in an opinion column about a Stanford-UC Berkeley football game. The Secret Service searched the journalist's apartment. The New Jersey police officer arrested a news photographer at an accident scene after twice warning the photographer to leave the immediate scene.
