Article Abstract:

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is poised to make heavy investments in detectors of a wide range of potentially threatening substances and devices and other technological areas with a focus on port security and microbial containment technology. However, the department's procurement process is still in formation and would require help from the bidder to identify the procurement vehicle through which DHS might purchase the product or service.

House Armed Services: $400 billion

Article Abstract:

The United States House Armed Services Committee recommended the authorization of $400.5 billion for fiscal 2004 defense programs. The United States Senate Armed Services Committee also recommended the same budget at an earlier date.
