Highlights of the 1997 annual meeting
Article Abstract:
The American Psychiatric Assn conducted its 150th annual meeting in San Diego, CA, from May 17 to 22, 1997. Attendance was recorded at 16,622 which included 6498 members, 1,781 spouses and guests, 5,887 nonmembers, 2,148 exhibitors, 168 media people and 140 members of the staff. The conference began with a business meeting on the first day, May 17, 1997 and followed by the opening session on May 18, 1997. The Convocation of Fellows was held on May 19, 1997 while the scientific sessions were held from May 17 to 18, 1997.

A mess o' greens
Article Abstract:
Southern cooks traditionally use kale, collard, turnip and mustard greens in their cookery. Smoked pork was once used for flavor, and the greens were simmered slowly for at least an hour. New methods include using chicken broth, olive oil or balsamic vinegar.
