An analysis of the future for the treatment of diseases with pharmaceuticals, focusing specifically on the field of pharmacogenomics, which uses the human genome to develop treatments. One of the major aims of pharmacogenomics is to use each individual's own genome to develop a personalized drug treatment, thereby removing the variations and adverse reactions that currently occur when drugs are prescribed.
