Article Abstract:
A collector of manuscripts is concerned that in the days of modern word processing on computers, manuscripts will be done away with. In the past, works were often written long-hand as manuscripts, then edited. Now, paper is hardly necessary and true manuscripts are infrequently seen.

Test-driving the future
Article Abstract:
A guest at a science fiction convention who was allowed to test-drive a rental car equipped with computer-aided navigation was impressed with the many capacities of the system. The car displayed accurate maps, planned routes and kept track of its own location.

Some people assume that the world will not change or evolve, despite knowing that the world today is totally different to that of just a decade ago. Technological developments that are difficult to imagine today are nevertheless realistic possibilities.
