Article Abstract:
Distortion of memory is discussed by studying three categories namely bias, misattribution, and suggestibility, out of the seven basic types of memory imperfections described by Daniel L. Schacter. Suggestibility, the most interesting kind of memory distortion, that is similar to implanting false memory by accident or design is discussed to explain the ways in which memory can be distorted.
