Writing investigative books
Article Abstract:
A freelance writer feels writing an investigative book is a difficult enterprise and making money from it is still more difficult. He shifted to writing books when both freelancing and regular reporting failed to provide the desired space for his investigative stories. However, the money he got for a book was insufficient to support him while working the book. He feels it is better to write investigative book as a by-product of salaried investigative reporting.

New investigative authors echo themes of original muckrakers
Article Abstract:
New investigative authors seem to echo themes of a group of authors who wrote about 100 years ago, known as muckrakers. Cecelia Tich, a Vanderbilt University English professor, perused through new investigative books and found that quite a few had interlocking relationships with the old muckrakers techniques and themes.
