Article Abstract:
Anandam P. Kavoori's article published in the Critical Studies in Mass Communication periodical titled 'Getting past the latest 'post'' echoed the views made by authors such as Dirlik, McClintock and Shohat regarding the use of the term 'post-colonial.' Kavoori has a limited view of the flexibility that the concept offers. His understanding of the term is based on monolithic and essentialist grounds.
