What does the photoblog want?
Article Abstract:
The results of an ethnographic study of photoblogs are presented as a way of addressing impasses in the literature on photography and digital photography. It is argued that photoblogs are self-productive and thus are independent of the actions that they bring forth and at the same time are intricately related to them.

A content analysis of sixty years of Pulitzer Prize-winning photographs appears to be of violence and conflict, about war and coups. The Pulitzer Prize-winning photographs taken in the US reveal more diverse themes and subjects, although they too concentrate on bad news.
