UK Tomahawk programme wins award
Article Abstract:
Lockheed Martin was cited by the UK Ministry of Defense (MoD) for its systems integration work on the UK Royal Navy Tomahawk Land Attack Missile (TLAM) program. The company received the UK MoD Procurement Executive Project of the Year Award for 1998 following the successful testing of the TLAM system off California towards the end of 1998. The system was given the go ahead to be used in HMS Splendid, a Swiftsure-Class attack submarine.
