Teaching film and television in developing nations: a Malaysian case study
Article Abstract:
A case study of Malaysian academic film and television production program was conducted by a filmmaker and public television producer at the Science University of Malaysia. Results reveal that creating a successful program requires the establishment of structured designated priorities. These include long-term commitments to infrastructure developments, faculty training and education, and the achievement of an institutional self-sufficient curriculum.

Streetwise: rethinking motion picture arts education
Article Abstract:
Enrollment in undergraduate motion picture arts programs is expanding while opportunities for graduates to work in the motion picture industry remains limited. This situation could improve if universities and colleges would permit students to personalize their fields of study and to offer more courses in grant-writing, exhibition, and distribution.
