The features of Replay TV and TiVo offer boxes are noted, along with EchoStar's WebStar Dish Network satellite receiver.

Two-channel stereo has been the most successful format in audio history, and remains the standard today. With the growing popularity of multichannel 'home theater' audio, some experts believe that traditional stereo will be eventually phased out. Others contend that the infrastructure for 2-channel stereo and consumer satisfaction with it will contribute to its longevity.
