The future of stereo: two-speaker techniques for three dimensional sound
Article Abstract:
While most commercial audio has focused on multi-speaker surround technologies, 3-dimensional sound that matches the psychoacoustics of the ears is possible from 2-speaker stereo 'binaural' techniques. The physics of these techniques, which have a long research history, are explained.
