A hot import: communal cars for congested streets

Car-sharing services, such as those offered of by Boston's Zipcar, have take in the US, with similar services being offered in Seattle, WA, Boulder, CO, and San Francisco, CA. Craig Klefferman, who patronizes Zipcar, says he no longer has to search for parking spaces nor pay monthly auto insurance payments and repair costs. On the other hand, Northwestern University's Charles Euchner says car sharing is becoming popular since people are fed up with spending a big part of their disposable income on cars that they do not use much.
