Jenny Craig hires Monica Lewinsky
Article Abstract:
Jenny Craig Inc is using the endorsement of celebrity Monica Lewinsky to attract more customers and bolster its fortunes on the Wall Street stock exchange. The company's share value increased sharply immediately after Jenny Craig announced a $7.2-million advertising campaign with some of the ads featuring the former White House intern. Terms of Lewinsky's advertising contract were not disclosed. Jenny Craig has experienced declining sales and profits that have forced it to close 86 weight loss centers in the US and lay off 15% of its headquarters staff.

Welcome to Atlanta's airport, brought to you by ..
Article Abstract:
The city of Atlanta, GA, may allow the sale of corporate sponsorships for Hartsfield Atlanta International Airport and Piedmont Park. Proponents of the plan say the naming rights for these municipal properties may easily fetch $15 to $50 million each year. Atlanta City Council Pres Robert Pitts says the idea is worthy of consideration, noting that every city is always short of funds. He cited as an example Ted Turner's sale of naming rights to the Omni sports arena to Royal Philips Electronics for $185 million for a 20-year term.
