File on ... Tanzania
Article Abstract:
Tanzania is planning to promote its tourism industry, since the country has the best national parks and wildlife in Africa. Although The Selous Game Reserve, the continent's largest protected area, is only open to a restricted number of visitors, many tourists enjoy Ngorongoro Conservation Area and the Serengeti, Arusha, Tarangire, Lake Manyara, and Kilimanjaro National Parks. Tourists may also want to see prehistoric rock art, view the famous Olduvai Gorge archeological site or visit ruins of medieval cities. The island of Zanzibar features both archeological wonders and modern resort hotels.
