Advertising contracts latest casualty as embattled retailer keeps on cutting

Financially department store chain T Eaton Co Ltd of Toronto, Ontario, has cancelled some of its advertising contracts. The move was part of its cost spending measures as its juggles promotional spending in an aggressive effort to boost its customer base by attracting young consumer shopping for trendy clothing and accessories. The chain has already deluged consumers in the past from glossy-magazine promotions to scratch-and-save discounts.
