BCT.Telus calls on gren architects
Article Abstract:
BCT.Telus Communications Inc will spend C$14 million to refurbish its downtown Vancouver offices. The phone company will recycle the existing brick and granite building into the newly revitalized eight-storey, 127,000-sq-ft futuristic structure. Included in the design is a double- glassed fritted and frameless glazing system with operable windows which will be suspended a meter away from the existing building face. The building is expected to achieve energy consumption levels that are 35% more efficient than those required by Vancouver energy law.
