Increased INS troops along the California side of the US-Mexican border have resulted in a surge of immigrants attempting to come to the US through the desert of south-eastern Arizona. Approximately 65,000 immigrants are arrested along the Arizona border each month and a group of 35 INS agents has been specially trained to deal with the possibility of heat-stroke among the impoverished Hispanics.
