This article describes a proposal to establish a bushrangers' hall of fame in Benalla, Victoria, dedicated to the exploits of the 19th-century Australian outlaws known as bushrangers. Relevant points include the towns desire to attract tourists interested in the deeds and misdeeds of Ned Kelly and other notorious bushrangers, and the objections of some, such as the Reverend Grant Young, that Kelly and his cohorts were criminals whose activities should not be romanticized.
