Canadian physics professor Melissa Franklin's acceptance of a tenured position at Harvard University constitutes a loss for Canadian academia. Franklin took the position as the first tenured woman in the Harvard physics department because she felt women were treated poorly at Canadian universities.

Life on Mars?
Article Abstract:
NASA scientists announced that they have preliminary evidence that life may have existed at one time on Mars. They came to this conclusion after studying a meteorite found in Antarctica, which originated from Mars. The rock appears to have remnants of a primitive microbial life form.
