CBC unveils ambitious plans for TV, radio

Canadian Broadcasting Corp (CBC) has launched its strategic plan which involves the establishment of regional programming and new specialty channels. The company's plan focuses on five priorities. These include the strengthening of regional roots, pan-Canadian programming, revitalization of CBC English television, standard-setting news and information services and opening its corporate culture to the new environment.

CBC union told to brace for new round of layoffs
