The Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI) has ruled Mexico for 68 years, but polls show that the party may lose control of the Chamber of Deputies in the Jul 6, 1997. It is also likely that leftist Cuauhtemoc Cardenas Solorzano will be the next mayor of Mexico City.

Most Serbs view themselves as victims rather than aggressors in the civil war in Yugoslavia. Incomes have plummeted in Belgrade since the war started and sanctions were imposed. Smuggling and arms dealing are commonplace. State television is filled with propaganda.
