Civil disobedience: angry fisherman block a Russian trawler to draw attention to the plight of their industry

A flotilla of Nova Scotian fishing boats blockaded a Russian fishing trawler to protest the government's allowance of foreign fishing boats in Canadian waters. Fishermen are angry over the depletion of cod and other local fish. Canadian officials agreed to ban foreign vessels after Aug 20, 1993.
