Clinton video plugs two soft-drink brands
Article Abstract:
Diet Coke and Canada Dry Ginger Ale received an unexpected and yet considerably effective advertising from US President Clinton's video-taped grand jury testimony. Marketing analysts believe that the exposure did good for the brands, considering the connection made with the president and the number of people watching the testimony. Rick Keppler, president of Keppler Entertainment, said that the president's reputation would not weigh on the brands, but the TV exposure would help their value and recognition.
