Comerica set to expand in Canada
Article Abstract:
Comerica Inc., a Detroit, MI-based lending company, has been awarded with a Schedule II banking license by the Canadian government. The license issued by the government allows Comerica to expand its operations in Canada via Comerica Bank-Canada and permits the company, which previously issued loans for its Canadian clients outside of Canada, to actually write them in its Canadian offices. Comerica said it will target Canadian firms that have businesses in the US, as well as the Canadian subsidiaries of its clients in the US.
