Court grants Livent time to reorganize

Livent Inc has been given an extenson until the end of Jun 1999 by a US bankruptcy court to file a reorganization plan. The insolvent theater production company also received approval on a management retention plan that involves awarding performance bonuses and severance payment to eight Livent managers. Livent reported $300 million in debt in filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in the US and Canada in 1998.
