Deloitte protests RCMP contract won by rival

Deloitte and Touche Consulting Group of Ottawa, Ontario, has filed a complaint with the Canadian International Trade Tribunal regarding a C$1- million contract to help in overhauling the operations of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. Deloitte, which lost the contract to rival PricewaterhouseCooper, said that the Dept of Public Works and Government Services failed in its job to assess the four competing bids. The firm was removed from the bidding process because a key member of its project team did not have federal government security clerance level at the time of the bid.

Cossette going public to raise cash for takeovers
