Detroit gears up on its German

Article Abstract:

US carmakers are working to enhance their knowledge of German culture as they realize increasing deals with German counterparts. DaimlerChrysler is one good example of a partnership with Detroit, MI, automakers, which are familiarizing themselves with the German culture to help understand their foreign colleagues. General Motors and Ford are also exerting efforts to improve work relationships with Germans, considering that their top executives are based in Germany, where they run their companies' European operations.

Balancing '99 auto bargains

Article Abstract:

Automakers have devised several strategies to cope up with the challenge to produce vehicles that cost less but perform better and faster. Aside from adopting manufacturing procedures that eases production and reduces product development cost, they have also implemented marketing schemes aimed at targeting specific markets and clients. Moreover, automakers have also imbibed the value of being first in new segments in order to compete better in today's auto industry.
