Environmental risks?
Article Abstract:
The debate over long-term use of renewable fuels involves concerns that expanded production would probably stretch US' agricultural resources thin, pose environmental risks and unleash other unintended side effects. Alternative-fuels proponents are facing a fundamental dilemma of making the products truly competitive with fossil fuels, which would require diverting existing crops from food or feed, cutting agricultural exports, finding new raw materials and possibly replacing some low-margin crops that don't play a role in the energy cycle.

Article Abstract:
The George W. Bush administration launched the National Reporting System in 2003 to periodically assess the progress of Head Start children and local programs. The Bush administration has proposed turning Head Start over to the states, but critics stated that the plan would undermine the program's steady funding and comprehensive services for poor children, such as parental involvement and health care.
