Serbai, Yugoslavia President Slobodan Milosevic was finally ousted from power when the people rebelled after he would not step down after he lost the elections held on Sep. 24, 2000. Striking miners were supported by the people which led to riots in Belgrade. The new President Vojislav Kostunica has taken over control of the country.
