Steven Spielberg's 'Saving Private Ryan' promises to unleash the horrors of World War II to movie-goers. The opening scene is a recreation of the D-Day invasion at Omaha Beach on June 6, 1994. The scenes are gruelling in their depiction of soldiers under attack, body parts flying everywhere, and bloodied corpses floating ashore. The movie features Tom Hanks who leads his platoon to find Private Ryan, the only one of four brothers who may be alive.
