E-Trade opens door to night market

On-line brokerage E-Trade has announced that it will offer after-hours trading to its customers starting Sep 1999. The firm said that its 1.2 million customers would be able to trade stocks until 6:30 pm ET through stock execution company Instinet. E-Trade said that clients will pay normal pert-trade commissions. Instinet, owned by Reuters, has average daily after-hours trade of 20 million shares and daily volume of 170 million shares.

No more hassles of lugging baggage

TraveLite of Grayslke, IL, has launched its Virtuall Bellhop service. The company will pick up travelers' bags at their home and office and deliver them to hotels, and will also provide return service. TraveLite said that the rates will depend on the size and weight of bags, delivery time and destination. The company offers same-day, next-day and two-day deliveries to and from 150 US cities.
