Unfazed Nasdaq hits a new high
Article Abstract:
Prices of technology stocks have increased, pushing the Nasdaq composite to its seventh-straight record level on Nov 8, 1999. Investors seemed to disregard Microsoft Corp's legal problems as its stock price fell by just 1 5/8 to $90 while share prices of its competitors rose even higher. Analysts attributed the resilience of the technology stocks to the significant changes caused by the Internet on industries and the fact that Microsoft's competitors will benefit from the ruling that the software giant is a monopoly.
