Hyatt queues up to add printers
Article Abstract:
Hyatt plans to add ink jet printers in its hotel rooms to allow corporate travellers to use their laptop computers to print hard copies. Hyatt plans to install the machines in 5,200 rooms in 90 of its hotels by the end of 1998. The move is part of recent efforts in the evolving trend that allows corporate guests to perform office functions without leaving their rooms. Hyatt is not the first hotel chain to have printers in its hotel rooms. Others, such as Sheraton, Waldorf-Astoria in New York, NY, also feature ink jet printers in their hotel rooms.

Iridium the first virtual nation
Article Abstract:
Iridium's new satellite phone service, expected to become available by the end of 1998, will have its own dialing code, 8816, virtually making it a separate country. The company's new service, which already has 2,000 subscribers, a figure that is expected to increase dramatically in only a short span of time, needed its own dialing code in order to be able to route a call to its system from any place on Earth. Iridium's status as a virtual nation comes a time when a number of virtual communities are constantly being formed on the Web.
