"Impressions" in court
Article Abstract:
Textbook censorhip activists have been closely watching the outcome of the ruling of a Sacramento, CA, court on the case of Brown versus Woodland. The said case involves the proposed censorhip of the popular children's book 'Impressions.' Right-wing activists state that the said book promotes witchcraft and neo-pagan religions to school children. However, a large number of parents, educational and teacher's organizations have signed petitions seeking to reinstate the publication as acceptable reading material.

The fight goes on
Article Abstract:
The issue of textbook censorship continues to be of paramount importance to the US educational system. Censorhip advocates believe that parents have a right to determine what is taught to their children. Those opposed to textbook censorhip state that the present situation is exacerbated by the fact that Christian fundamentalist and right-wing groups are bent on establishing themselves in US education institutions.
