Intrawest post 26% profit jump in third quarter

Vancouver, BC-based Intrawest Corp., which develops and operates mountain resorts, has reported a 26% increase in profit for the third quarter of fiscal 1999. The substantial increase in profit is attributed to the 8% increase in numbers of visitors and a 6% increase in visitor spending. The firm has also reported that all of its resorts had posted increased profit.
