Article Abstract:
Charles Adam Corbyn, a legal reporter in Sydney, Austriala, in the mid-nineteenth century, was always alert to absurdities in court proceedings. Corbyn evenly criticized magistrates, police officers, witnesses, and observers. Much of Corbyn's writing has the flavor of Charles Dickens, although little is known about Corbyn's life outside his work.
