MacBlo hires TimberWest CEO as COO
Article Abstract:
MacMillan Bloedel Ltd., a Vancouver, British Columbia-based forest products company, has hired Keith Purchase to become the company's chief operating officer. Purchase was the former chief executive officer at TimberWest Timber Trust, a MacMillan Bloedel rival in British Columbia. Purchase will oversee all forest operations of MacMillan, excluding the operations of the company's packaging subsidiary in Alabama. The new COO is expected to report directly to MacMillan Bloedel CEO Tom Stephens. Stephens said Purchase's experience as CEO in a public company and his strong background in the industry are among the traits that attracted MacMillan Bloedel into hiring him.
