Managing incontinence using technology, devices, and products
Article Abstract:
The various products and devices used for incontinence are reviewed, directions for research and development on technology are identified, and the ways nurses can influence and participate in those investigations are outlined. Collaboration among public and private sectors result in greater likelihood of high quality clinical research that has sufficient power and integrity, more efficient use of resources special to each setting, and expedited application of technologies for patient use.

Translating research on incontinence into practice
Article Abstract:
An investigation is carried out to identify the factors that influence incontinence translating research evidence into clinical practice (TRIP) and to present key international studies on incontinence TRIP. It is found that future research is needed on incontinence TRIP in the areas such as barriers, the best theoretical approaches, the value of mentors, effective strategies for nurses and unlicensed personnel, the impact of international collaboration, and regulations across settings.

Shaping future directions for incontinence research in aging adults
Article Abstract:
A study is conducted to identify new approaches for conducting urinary and fecal incontinence research in aging adults, identify strategies for reinvigorating and better positioning nursing research on incontinence. The results reveal the identification of strategic directions for conducting and funding incontinence research and strategies for reinvigorating and repositioning nursing research on incontinence.
