Net number crunchers suffer blank spot
Article Abstract:
It is possible in Australia to look up telephone numbers over the Internet, instead of calling the operator. However, the site is not very reliable and it occasionally goes out of service which results in more people calling the operators. Its performance will improve after the Net capacity is upgraded. Currently, the Net White Pages receives about 400,000 hits per day, and that is set to increase as more people use computers.
