Web portals open e-commerce doors
Article Abstract:
Web portals Alta Vista and Lycos are allowing users to comparison shop throughout the Web. This is part of the trend wherein other portals are concentrating on Internet shopping and are considering the opportunities provided by e-commerce. The c-commerce portals increase user visits and revenues. While websites that allow comparison shopping may lose some customers to competitors, they are hoping that they will generate customer loyalty.
