The terms of trade are defined as the ratio of price of the countries exports to imports, or the buying power of the exports.

US treasury secretary John Snow arrived at Beijing to talk about China's exchange rate and argue on an immediate revaluation of the Chinese renminbi, termed as yuan. Chinese refused the intention to appreciate their currency as they expected the currency to be allowed to float freely in the future.
