Scandal could throw Osprey program off course

Article Abstract:

The survival of the US Marine Corps' V-22 Osprey is being threatened by allegations about falsified maintenance logs. The fate of the helicopter- airplane hybrid with tilt-rotor technology is wobbly following revelations that a squadron commander, Lt Col O Fred Leberman asked Marines to falsify maintenance documents. After Leberman was relieved of the command, the marines watched a list of marks against the aircraft grow. The investigation of the allegations from the Marines is being investigated by the Dept of Defense.
